Dr. Shawn Ahmed is a board certified Vascular Interventional Radiologist practicing in Colorado for the last 7 years. He is credentialed at multiple Front Range hospitals where he provides the full spectrum of interventional services ranging from treatment of spinal fractures to tumor embolization and comprehensive management of vascular disease.

Dr. Ahmed’s primary interest is peripheral vascular disease, particularly in patient’s with non-healing leg wounds. He works closely with multiple wound care centers in the Denver area performing minimally invasive procedures to optimize blood flow in patients with arterial and venous disease with the intent of promoting wound healing, deceasing pain and preventing limb amputation. Dr. Ahmed started the peripheral vascular service at North Suburban Medical Center in 2018 and using minimally invasive, non-surgical techniques, was able to decrease the rate of limb amputations by over 60% in the first year.
Dr. Ahmed is passionate about patient care and determined to increase patient access to the most cutting edge treatments available today. It is with this focus that he started APEX Endovascular to offer a safer, more convenient and more affordable option for the treatment of a variety of medical conditions without the need hospitalization, open surgery and lengthy recovery.
